The GX-FQJ1900C is a wide-web surface rewinding slitting machine for paper, plastic film, nonwoven fabric, aluminum foil and laminated/composite materials up to 1850mm wide. It slits widths from 200mm to 1850mm at working speeds of 50–200 m/min (250 m/min mechanical speed), rewinding onto a surface drum up to Ø600mm — the configuration used when finished rolls must stay tight, round and undamaged on the surface. Reference price is USD 35,000–48,000 (EXW Dongguan), depending on configuration. It is built by Dongguan Gangxin Machinery Co., Ltd. in Dongguan, China. A 1600mm width version can be built on the same platform.
Why surface rewinding
On wide webs, shaft rewinding can telescope or crush soft materials. Surface (drum) rewinding drives the finished roll from its surface, keeping roll hardness even across the full 1850mm width. Two 5.5kW inverter motors run the rewind under PLC synchronous control with automatic tension, while a 100Nm magnetic powder brake and automatic tension controller hold the unwind side; photoelectric guiding keeps the web aligned before the knives.
